Le Petit Cafe

Posted in Food on March 30, 2008 by Adam

Delicious. Holy Cow (with a capital “c”), it was that good. Two hours of the best eating I’ve ever had.

I feel so adult. Not only did I purposefully order it, I enjoyed the escargot appetizer. It was my favorite part of the meal.

That was followed by a great salad with a honey dijon vinaigrette with goat cheese. Ellie had the rack of lamb and I had the salmon, both were perfect. Creme brule and apple tart for desert.

I’m still salivating. We need to celibrate birthdays more often than they are scheduled to come around I think.

Yesterday was awesome. We ended up walking up East Rock. We were outside without jackets and in short-sleeves even. This was the high temp since I’ve been here, tied with one other day a couple weeks ago.

Winter is not giving in, it supposed to rain and then ice over tonight.

I think everybody around here is ready for spring. Birds are appearing. The tulips and daffodils are starting to emerge, not quite flowering yet, but getting there.

What’s happening?

Posted in General Updates on March 11, 2008 by Adam

The answer is “not much.” I’m still looking for work, Ellie has gone home on break, I’m addicted to Lost again, Ellie is “addicted” to her NCLEX book, I’ve finally got my room unpacked etc etc. Oh yeah, Ned is sick. We got him some medicine, and hopefully that will do the trick.

Here are some pictures of my room and from a walk we took a couple weeks ago in the midst of a snowstorm. It snow all day, about 6 inches in total. We stopped at Sarah’s on the way home. Can you guess what happened there from the picture?

My Room 3

I have at least 15 boxes of various shapes and sizes in my room leftover from moving. How long do you think it is until I make a fort out of them? If you said “just as soon as you figure out how to incorporate the new dresser and hold the sheet on top,” you’d be right.
